Board Members Present: Bret Blackman, Bryce Johnson, Scott Bruce, Pastor Ricky Rohrig
The Work Session was held at the Jr/Sr High School Virtual Room.
Bret Blackman called the meeting to order at 2:24 p.m.
Matt Gillaspie and Travis Squires from Piper Sandler came to present an update of school infrastructure financing capacity.
Matt Gillaspie presented our District’s information regarding our bonding capacity, new rules and regulations regarding borrowing, upcoming election dates, and our ability to borrow money in the next few years.
Travis Squires present our CFPM Model, a financial tool that allows our District to track their budget, revenues and expenditures, enrollment trends, and State Supplemental Aid. Travis went into detail about how our enrollment drives our funding and how the amount of State Supplemental Aid drives our financials. Travis also showed us how we can manipulate the CFPM tool to replicate ups and downs in enrollment and supplemental aid. The CFPM model also is a great tool to help us prepare for our budget.
